Drakes Hotel enjoys a superb location, with many guests appreciating the easy walk to Brighton Pier and the Lanes. The sea view rooms are a highlight, offering beautiful vistas, and some even feature balconies where you can listen to the waves; however, street-facing rooms can experience some noise. Guests found the beds exceptionally comfortable and enjoyed the presence of dressing gowns, adding a touch of luxury to their stay. The availability of parking is a definite plus, given the central location.

excellent seafront stay

good storage hanging space modern bathroom nice toiletries
The king room provided good storage for my things! hanging space was also available. the bathroom was modern and spacious. I found the water pressure great. nice toiletries were supplied for guest use. This worked well. the room was beautifully clean!
i think the bed had a very soft mattress topper on it. i presume it covered an old mattress? this made the bed uncomfortable.
Location

The location is great. It sits right across from the beach and the seaside walkway. i walked ten minutes, max, from the pier, and fifteen minutes from the main restaurant area. The ease was amazing.
Rooms

heavenly days by the water

helpful staff affordable breakfast real flowers
the staff displayed kindness. a delicious breakfast in bed was affordable, and parking was available. the air conditioning cooled the room fast. the balcony held real flowers, a nice and tender touch.
the bar lacked a bit of charm. it seemed like any other bar, the connection to local culture was missing. some updates in the style would be helpful.
Rooms

my room had a balcony with a sea view, it allowed fresh air and a gentle sea breeze. the room included local toiletries with delicate scents, a true pleasure. the bed provided such comfort, and the linen was soft.

adequate sea view stay

ideal location friendly staff sea view noticeable noise uncomfortable seating single-glazed window
the location was ideal. it was easy to access nearby shops and restaurants. the staff were very friendly and cute. i appreciated the beautiful sea views from my room.
The road noise was quite noticeable during the night. the room lacked comfortable seating. single-glazed sash windows contributed to the noise issue. It was a distraction.

satisfactory stay

good storage ample space modern bathroom recent update breakfast options many choices lacking soundproofing terrible noise dated interiors worn carpets other rooms noisy corridor
The room offered good storage space. It provided ample room for my belongings and hanging space. The bathroom was modern (it seemed recently updated). I liked the breakfast options. There were many choices.
The hotel lacked soundproofing. I was in room 16 and it was very noisy. I could hear sounds from other rooms and the corridor. The interiors seemed dated, with worn carpets.
